MAPPING OF SERVICES FOR MIGRANTS/LATIN AMERICA and CARIBBEAN

MAPPING OF SERVICES FOR MIGRANTS/LATIN AMERICA and CARIBBEAN

We want to echo today to the mapping of services for migrants, refugees and victims of trafficking that the Church provides in Latin America and the Caribbean through the CLAMOR Network, after a hard year of work. The data presented is updated to March 2021 and people in a situation of human mobility as well as pastoral agents will be able to access detailed information on accommodation, food, health, clothing, legal advice, spiritual assistance, integration, among many others.

The Executive Secretary of CLAMOR explains that with this mapping, migrants will be able to solve specific needs to avoid falling into the hands of unscrupulous people or criminal networks. For example:

A person who has been walking for days, hungry, being cold, without showering, can find information on where to go to sleep in a bed, take a hot soup and use a clean toilet
