June 14-17, 2016
Inmaculada Fukasawa, accompanied by S. Concesa Martín, Assistant General, left Rome on June 12 to travel to Indonesia.
After a stopover in Denpasar (Bali), they arrived in Sukaria on March 14, accompanied by S. Inés Oleaga.
The mission belongs to the Diocese of Ketapang. On arriving in that city they were received by Bishop Pius Riana Prapdi. With his customary cordiality and kindness, he loaned them his car and driver to go to Sukaria.
They spent three days with Inés Oleaga, Lumen Calulot and Ana Pina, and visited the area.
They met the neighbors and spent time with the parish priest and a seminarian who is helping in the parish this year.
On returning to Ketapang, they met with the bishop. He took them to see the seminary and then to the house of the Augustinian Sisters who had invited them for supper.
There is great hope for the mission. The people consider the Sisters a gift from God and have received them very well.
On Saturday, the 18th, at 5:30 in the morning they attended the Eucharist with the bishop and left for the airport in order to fly to Timor on Sunday, the 19th, after several stopovers, including one overnight in Bali.
