A TASTE FOR LIFE/ARGENTINE

A TASTE FOR LIFE/ARGENTINE

INFORMATION ABOUT THE BUSINESS PROPOSAL:
Name of the Proposal: Creole Dressing. GASTRONOMIC ART.
Location: San Telmo, CABA.
Name and surname of the person responsible for the Proposal: Yvette Carolina Bello Hernández.
A few years ago in Venezuela, my husband and I began to sell traditional sauces and dressings of
different flavours and new ones as well, so that buyers would have access to a quality product that
was easy to serve, so as to help them out of a tight spot either for a special celebration or simply
in their everyday lives, but with gourmet quality. My husband has been a Chef for over 20 years
and I am a professional in Hotel Administration but always specialising in catering and organising
events. In addition, I have expertise in graphics and design, which I think is an advantage that can
boost our business proposal. We have now spent nearly 3 years in Argentina and the idea came to
us to begin a similar business again, but more reinforced and professional, (We never used digital
means to make ourselves known, only by word of mouth). Now we have a name invented
especially for this: Creole Dressing. Gastronomic Art. The word Dressing refers to “Sauce,
condiments, or other substances that you add to a meal to give it more taste or make it more
delicious”. For us, Dressing, represents a taste for life through the pleasures of gastronomy. We
want to make our clients feel that taste on the palate that makes you close your eyes for a
moment to just feel and enjoy. We know that we have the knowledge, the skills, the desire, the
passion, the constancy and the energy. Just before tha pandemic began, he had managed to buy
some equipment to begin our reinforced dream, but since we both worked in the hospitality
industry, we were left without jobs for more than six months, without any income at all. That
affected us and we not able to continue with our Project, not even to buy the raw material and
packaging. Even though we have not yet begun selling here, we are sure that we are offering a
quality product, and our idea of what we want to offer in this new version of our project, is
already well developed. In addition to sauces and dressings, (Sesame Dressing, Soy Sauce, Passion
Fruit and Dill Dressing, Special Barbecue Sauce, among others) we want to produce a line of
ready-to-use packed food fir example: como: Tuna dipped in sesame, tenderloin carpaccio,
octopus carpaccio, etc. (We alreday have the packing machine) All we need us a boost.
This was for the previous meeting ..they won and were able to move on with their Project and
today they are selling thanks to the boost they were given financially by the Handmaids last year.

Feelings
It is difficult to express the very many feelings that envelop us in difficult circumstances , at times when we are looking for a way out, better opportunities, when everything is changing for us. For me, the idea of setting up a business here was remote because I know that it
involves many things. We were migrating and in a critical and unfamiliar process, as was the time of the pandemic.
The main thing was to commit myself as I needed to learn, and fir that I needed time, dedication and constancy.
Formation and education are essential to begin on the right track, and so I took part in forum talks, courses on anything that motivated me and afforded me the necessary skills to diminish my feelings of uncertainty, and not only the knowledge
that helps me to organise my ideas In addition, in this process, I shared with people who had the same interests as
me, and that was decisive for me to continue. It is satisfying to be able to count on someone else, and encourages you to go on, to better and not lose hope. To feel myself part of a project.
The pressure ensures that we don’t become too relaxed in our thinking about what we want and how to do it, even when it is what we enjoy or what we are best suited for, or what makes me feel fragile at the beginning.
